Ari Strauss
Senior Vice President
Ari Strauss, Senior Vice President, comes to Artemis Strategies with a wealth of Congressional experience. Having spent over a decade on Capitol Hill, Mr. Strauss is well known on both sides of the aisle.
Before joining the Artemis team, Mr. Strauss served as the Legislative Director for the Northeast-Midwest Senate Coalition. In this role Mr. Strauss developed the legislative agenda and strategies for the bipartisan alliance of Senators from New England, Mid-Atlantic and Midwest states. His focus areas included: economic development, manufacturing, energy, appropriations, water quality, environmental protection and smart growth.
Prior to his coalition work, Mr. Strauss was a long-standing figure in Congressman Tim Holden’s (D) office from 1995 to 2005. Throughout his tenure he served as a Staff Assistant, Legislative Correspondent, Legislative Assistant, Senior Legislative Assistant and finally the Legislative Director. These experiences have given him an intimate understanding of all aspects of the legislative process on the Hill. Mr. Strauss was active with the House Transportation & Infrastructure Committee, managed activity with the Blue Dog Coalition and the Democrat Whip operation while acting as senior policy advisor to the Congressman.
No stranger to political campaigns, Mr. Strauss was the Deputy Political Director for Philadelphia suburbs throughout the Pennsylvania Coordinated Campaign (PA Victory ’04) in 2004. He volunteered on Congressman Holden’s campaign back in 1996 and has been active on the democratic scene ever since.
Mr. Strauss received his Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics from Hofstra University in 1995.
