Stephanie Salmon is a Vice President at Artemis Strategies and has over twenty years of government relations experience. She represents a variety of industries before the Administration, Congress, and regulatory bodies in issue areas such as workplace health and safety matters, energy, environment, tax, and trade.

She assists our clients in establishing and executing effective public policy strategies and programs for Congress and federal agencies. As part of these efforts, she interfaces with a broad range of coalitions and trade associations, and represents the client before lawmakers and regulators. In addition, she develops regulatory comments, legislative testimony, action alerts, updates, and educational pieces on issues affecting the clients. Stephanie has successfully managed numerous legislative conferences and advocacy fly-ins.

From 2006 until June 2010, she served as Vice President of Government Affairs for Waterman & Associates, where she served as the chief lobbyist and managed the government affairs services for the following major metalworking associations - American Foundry Society, National Tooling & Machining Association, and North American Die Casting Association.

From 2004 until 2006, she served as the Director of Government Affairs for the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association, a national trade association with over 15,000 member companies and affiliates that manufacture, distribute and sell motor vehicle parts, accessories, service, tools, equipment, materials and supplies. She interacted with congressional staff, federal agencies, as well as a variety of coalitions to represent the association's policy positions on health care, asbestos and counterfeiting. In addition, she directed the group's Political Action Committee fundraising efforts.

Prior to 2004, she worked as the Director of Government Affairs for Waterman & Associates, a Washington, D.C.-based government affairs firm, to develop and implement strategic public affairs and government relations efforts for a variety of clients, primarily in the area of trade, employment and occupational safety.

She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies, with a concentration in economics and business from the American University in Washington, D.C. A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Ms. Salmon resides in Arlington, VA.
